Just had my bachelor party this last weekend. We went to Riverside Casino Golf resort just south of Iowa City and had a blast. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone wanting to have a nice little weekend getaway or maybe a weekend with "the guys" (mancation). The rooms are great and we also had one of the Grand Master Suites, two 42 inch plasmas, huge leatehr sectional, full kitchen, outdoor patio.
The golf course is great! A Rees Jones design that still needs a little growing in to do. Definately fun for all levels of golfer though. The front nine is bombs away, not alot of trees, long and straight then the back nine carves throuh the hills and woods for a nice contrast.
Can't go wrong with a Saturday Prime Rib buffet either, great food selection and only $14.95, not too shabby.
The hotel provided us a shuttle to the bars in Iowa City as well as the trip back. They provided us a casino host and the VIP treatment the whole weekend. Only a couple of things to gripe about. The casino has a 20 minute rule meaning you can only get a drink every 20 minutes. You have to be COMPLETELY done with your drink before getting a new one or they will take yours when you get a new one. No doubles either. Most of the waitresses are so concerned about the 20 minute rule that it turns to more like 30 minutes...
They have a pretty good Hawkeye game day package that includes shuttle rides and a private tailgate party... We are probably going to do that for the game next year.
Anyone want to take a guess at which former Hawkeye was our Black Jack dealer Friday night?

what did the suites cost and how many gamblers did you bring to the casino?
Harmon is my guess ... but I would die laughing if it was DT. I can seem him slamming the deck of cards down when you hit blackjack.
- keep.

- keep. The Grand Master Suite was around $600/night, other rooms around $120 and all very nice. We had 9-10 guys each night, the suite and three other rooms... Golf was $80 a round. We also had a private Texas Hold'em tournament in the poker room Friday night...
