The danger of playing favorites

I was just thinking that one result of Maccarney's welding Meyer to the QB position was the transfer of that kid Tyler Lorenzen. TL went to juco for a year, then became starting QB for a pretty successful UConn team. Would he have been a better choice for ISU?

PS: I know this is all speculative bullsh**. But where's the harm in that?

Good question. I'm not sure if Lorenzen was ever given much of an opportunity to play QB here. Was he immediately switched to receiver upon his arrival? Part of it may have been that he was so athletic that they needed him on the field in any manner possible. Yet, he didn't ever see the field.
