Re: Poll up on Cyclones.com to choose music going into the 4th quarter

Also, "Shout" would sound terrible in a football atmosphere. Are we getting ready to dance or play football?

On the sugrahill topic, they should just go rappers delight. Everyone could learn the words and join in.

Getting all the fans to dance for a song would be cool! You need things to get the crowd into the game. I think pring a song people love or can dance too, and something that everyone knows is a key.

I put my vote in for Saliva. I don't know, are any other teams using this one?
I don't know why there is such an infatuation with this song. Doesn't really get me pumped up or want to get out of my seat. I really do think that Apache "Jump on it" would get a lot of interaction, especially out of the student section.

Then again I never really saw a problem with "Jump Around" either. Not that long ago that used to really get the student section jumping around like 1 big wave then it kinda died off recently.

I see your point, but I like a song that gets me jacked up! When ISU MBB had faint by lincoln park that one year, it made me so hyped for the game!! Maybe it's personal preference, but Ladies and Gentleman does the best job of the four of getting my pumped up. The lyrics go pretty well too.

There will be new choices for each home game, right? So, even it Crazy Train is selected, it's not like it will be an official song for ISU football. I have a feeling the only reason Ozzy is winning is because it (as well as Shout) is the most familiar/rockin' song at this point...

I'm for "Ladies & Gentlemen" by Saliva. It is definitely the song that gets me going the most right now.

We have a lot of older fans stuck in the Class Rock age. Did you expect different? :P

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Give me a lead going into the 4th quarter of the next two home games, and you can play the theme song to "Barney" for all I care.

Well, give me the lead going into fourth quarter and you can play anything BUT Barney for all I care. Otherwise we may not be leading for very long. . .

Actually, the Des Moines Bucanneers used to play the Barney themesong when the opposing team came onto the ice. Don't know why (that song drives me nuts) but I always found it amusing.

The Bills have been playing that at home games for years. The whole crowd gets into it.
In fact, at one time the weekly newspaper devoted to the Bills was named Shout!

Four pretty horrible choices. I voted for Ladies and Gentlemen.
