Instant Classic?
I see that Fox Sports SW is running the Texas Tech game with us this week as an "Instant Classic". I suppose that moniker wholly depends on your point of view. I can't decide if I will even watch it knowing what a debacle it must have been.

Re: Instant Classic?
Usually the instant classics are good games. They must have decided on it's an instant "we have nothing else to put on."
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. - Benjamin Franklin 1775 -
Re: Instant Classic?
I'd think the OSU/aTm game would be more worthy, but maybe the rest of the nation just likes laughing at us?

Re: Instant Classic?
This was actually decided prior to the game being played...it was on their schedule Saturday morning.

Re: Instant Classic?
There was nothing particuarly "classic" about that game in my opinion - on either side.
Yeah they ran the score up on us big time, but largely in the 1st and 4th quarter. We actually held up fairly decently in the middle of the game defense wise.
As for our offense... Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy -
Re: Instant Classic?
Speaking of the TT game, I thought about how pumped every Cyclone fan was after the game in 2002 and thought I would look back to the first 8 weeks of that season, also my freshmen year in college-best year ever, until the last 5 or 6 games of the year.

Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving.
