i was looking at the stats.. and some things popped out at me..

-we were 4th in the big 12 for attendence avg.
-Durant broke fizers records, and stinson's one record

It will be interesting to see how he responds when defenses start focusing on him. He is going to have to be much better about getting his own shot. But yes, the guy is an athletic freak with good basketball IQ and a great attitude. I think he is going to have to work on his ball handling skills, and jump shot to put up the same kind of numbers but hopefully someone else will emerge offensively to pick up the Mike Taylor points. Brackins anyone?

the thing that gets me pumped about wesley is the fact of thinking about other teams' gameplans against us. Usually there is one guy you want to "shut down." I think if you are playing the Cyclones you look to him, but I mean we have so many options or weapons besides that can make things happen. If we can get CONSISTENT guard play than there is no doubt Clark, Hubalek, Garrett, Brackins, etc. can all take advantage of people concentrated on Wesley. This is gonna be a really exciting year!

Yet, Wesley was not selected as a preseason big 12 player...not even in HONORABLE MENTION!!!! That is just wrong!

His ball handling has improved by leaps and bounds over the off season...the drills he's been putting himself through are going to pay off big time for him this season!
