A couple basketball odds and ends

Our season starts today! The first true practice is kicking off today for the Clones

It sounds like Wesley has put in a ton of time and effort on improving his all around game. His ball handling is really looking good!

I think Lucca is going to be a stud...they have a shooting drill they do in individual workouts where they are shooting 15 footers, 18 footers, and 3 pointers. Apparently the record score for the drill (including with UNI from Mac's time there) was 78 by Brock Jacobson. Lucca scored a 142, with 40 straight 3's without a miss! I think we might have our 3 point shooter we've been wanting

I am ecstatic for the season to start and am pumped just thinking about the guys getting 5 practices in between now and Sunday

“I’m just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard,” Eustachy joked. “If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, he’ll be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.”

    Holy
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.

Aw, Jake Sullivan didn't play D and he was something special. If he can make 40 threes in a row when it counts, I'd be happy going 4 on 5 on defense.

Message boards are great!!! You can say anything and people believe you. Apparently, Clark was was involved in a dunk contest. Clark was able to jump from one step inside the 3-point line and nail a flying reverse dunk. He missed his second attempt from half court, but got his own rebound and was able to perform a 720 degree summersaulting between the legs one-handed (left hand) dunk followed by a roar after landing on Hubalek's shoulders...no foul called.

    40 straight 3-pointers without a miss? right.

Wow! Thanks for getting me pumped up this morning! I can't wait for the season to start. Even if we struggle, it will be fun to see these guys grow up.

Just curious, tigerhoops, how do you know this info from workouts? Not doubting you, but just wondering.

That gets me excited, but 40 straight 3's would seem highly unlikely.

This is straight from the coaching staff...I believe it

If Hendo told ya that, don't let him fool ya know. He's a prankster. At least he was back in high school.

Haha, no it wasn't Hendo, Rutter was my source

I don't care who said it. If they told you he made 10 in a row, I would still be excited about this season!

Well he told about a hundred high school coaches at a bball clinic last night, so I'm guessing it wasn't a big joke, but who knows.
