Terrorist Gum Balls
FOXNews.com - New Jersey Officials Fear Terrorists Could Poison Gumball Machines - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News
Seriously, what has this world come to. First of all it is pretty shady (which I would expect from terrorists) to do something like this. Target kids? 2nd we are falling right into the paranoia terrorists love. Pretty soon we will fear everything we consume and everyone we know. I hate the media.

Maybe its ignorant of me, but I can honestly say that living in Des Moines, IA terrorism is that very very last thing I worry about and even more the only time it crosses my mind is when media outlets make reference to it.

Well, I think us in the midwest have a temporary immunity to terrorism. While it is invetible that we have stuff that would be a tactical get for these guys, they have to get past everyone else first. If they hits crops and such, they would have to have a well laid out plan.

While the chances are slim anything happens in Des Moines, IA...I still think about it. I bet people in Oklahoma City didn't think it would happen to them either. But I agree with you, it doesn't worry me but I still think about the "what ifs" once in a while.

Yeah, I remember right after 9/11 the big fear was that the terrorists were somehow going to get a hold of crop dusters and dust the crops with biological agents to kill the general population through the food supply.
I swear, the way the media comes up with new and different terror plots every month, FOX could easily extend 24 for another 10 years and not have to sweat about coming up with a new and fresh plot.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -

That really doesn't change my fear level one bit. -

Re: Terrorist Gum Balls
We were getting some national press approximately a year ago when North Korea was a more dominant feature in the news. Apparently Nome is considered to be within striking distance of N. Koreas' nukes. The national press tried to make a big deal out of this and even sent a national news anchor to Nome to interview the locals. However, the news media couldn't find anyone that gave much consideration to the story/threat.
P.S. Its only a 60 mile journey from Nome to Russia
