Football Players "Walk"

I remember getting an email, or hearing about a new tradition that has the players walking down throught half of the tailgating lot before the game. When does that start (how soon before kick off)?

Never heard of that...Have not seen it either.

It was something about the players and the band walking to the Jacobson building. Maybe it was in a dream I had. Anyone else dream this?

Cyclone Spirit Walk
Iowa State fans are urged by coach Gene Chizik to join their fellow Cyclone backers the spirit squads and the ISU pep band in the Hilton Coliseum parking lot to welcome the football team Saturday as the squad exits its buses around 9:40 a.m. and heads for the Jack Trice Stadium locker room before the 11:30 a.m. kickoff.

I thought they did something similar with McCarney as well???

I believe with Mac they unloaded the buses right in front of the Jacobson Building, but for the first game, they walked from about halfway between Hilton and Jack Trice to the Locker Rooms.

It's been going on for several years, but wasn't heavily publicized. The only changes now are the addition of a pep band and spirit squads, and the players are dropped off farther from Olsen/Jacobson.
