I wonder what ISU players would start for another Big 12 team? By my read it would be:
1. Blythe
2. Bowen-he does it all for Iowa State
3. Bell? Maybe, he's our best DB
There may be others, but we need to upgrade talent.

Youre asking alot. =) I would agree with your pics and maybe a couple more. But its hard to say how they would have developed under the other school as well. Ours were trained by the previous staff and underachieved for their potential. If they would have been in a top team they would be different players.

Man.... I remember after the '04 Indy bowl thinking how we were so set at QB with Meyer at the helm for 3 more years...
| I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. Bowen is great, but undersized. It would be hard for him to compete with a guy slightly less skilled but 40 lbs heaver, IMO

He is good enough to play, but not good enough to start for every team in the league.

Your high, Blythe is one of the most overated players on our team, he hasn't done crap since the A&M game TWO YEARS AGO!!! Ace and Bell are the only other guys that could start somewhere else.

It comes naturally from the frustration of a 56-3 loss. Give him a break. Fans of other teams would be discussing how to acquire weapons of mass destruction after a 56-3 loss. | | |

Our water girls are some of the best in the nation! The wrist motion and water squirt angle are second to none.
That is some high quality H2O!
Unfortnately, I read recently that Stacey Smith, 3rd year water starter, was injured and is questionable for next week with a bruised toe. In the 4th quarter Blythe dropped a water bottle on her toe.

I give all the players credit for playing their hearts out, and obviously the coaches are doing all they can. But facts are, this will take time. I do think the crowd was great today. I didn't hear any booing, just support. That's a positive for the program.

-Chizik is straight up on losses. No excuses.
-Coaching staff has single vision, and a plan
-Defense is a pleasant surprise from what I thought. Good pass rush, DBs improving and Bowen and LBs improving
-Receivers are relatively young
-Bates has exceptional speed and can play just about anywhere
-Offensive line is better that most anticipated
-Could have won at Toledo, Nebraska with some luck
And while everyone has turnovers, we had some simple bad luck with interceptions going for scores.
There are positives..no doubt about it.

I am as unhappy as the next clone fan, but the lack of linemen left by Danny Mac has made this a train wreck of a team. Actually, I think the OL has , at times, looked better than I expected. With only one starter back ( a guy that would not start for any other Big 12 team, and a couple of not very good backups the cupboard was about as bare as it can get.
I am sure the coaches could be doing a better job at some aspects of the games, but they walked into a mess, and they probably knew it.

The oline is not the problem. James Smith, Jess ie Smith, Kurtis Taylor, Ace, Banks Allen Bell are not the problem. Everyone else is a problem.
