Duck Everyone... Another #1 has fallen.....

WOW! This has got to be the wackiest football season EVER. Long live parity!! Where in the %@$# did Kentucky come from? weren't they the SEC doormats (in football) for seemingly forever? Another example of a program turning it around. Still waiting for that in Ames.... waiting......... waiting..........................

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Wow, the SEC is BRUTAL!

In other news, I'm on the Top Dog board!

Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...
... the winds of change ripple throughout the vast fields of corn surrounding the small college town of Ames.

The Gene Chizik era of football continues, and, with it, a renewed attitude of pride, determination, and success.

This is Cyclone Football.

Rich Brooks.......didn't he do the same kind of thing at Oregon. Where'd he go in between? I'm thinking he was in the pros or something. Awesome game. I was cheering for Kentucky the whole way. Death to the BCS

and now #2

We all remember making fun of our little brother. And then that day came when you looked at him and thought "Crap, when did he become taller than me?" There comes a time when you just know your time has passed and it's their spotlight now.

Yea Cal lost because of a freshman brain-fart.

Save us tonight, the last hope for all of us,
Light-years gone by, we're still holding on,
Save us tonight, a star shines in all of us,
Far beyond our lives, still our glory lives on.

I am trying to figure out what LSU was doing on that last OT drive. Not the best play calling???

LSUs D has carried that team for a couple years now. russel was good but they werent burning people up. look for mr. bo pelini to be introduced as a head coach in a couple months.

You are right about Brooks at Oregon. He was there for something like 18 years, inluding the 1995 Rose Bowl against Penn State. He left Oregon to become the head coach of the Rams. I think he was D Cord. for the Falcons after he was replaced by Vermiel with the Rams until he went to Kentucky.

I have always thought he was a good coach. I think Tommy Tuberville and Jim Tressel are a lot like Brooks.

South Florida may make #3. Dan McCarney is smiling like Irish Eyes. Smashed Skaldany and UCF.

Note that Kent State was blasted severely, Buffalo beat Toledo by 10, Shucks on Huskers creamed 45-14 in front of their 1997 championship team, Iowa won by 4 yet scored only 10, and UNI survived 414 passing yards to win over Southern Illinois 30-24 in their second home gam,e of the year, and Tech rolled. So our earlier opponents did not have a great day but three did win.

EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Captain, beware of your Superbowl.

Did anyone else catch the killer block that Kentucky guy laid on the LSU guy late in the 4th, as Kentucky made the pass play to get down into the red zone. OMG, he came into the guy, and caught him up under the pads, and the guy literally was lifted two feet in the air. I've been searching the net all morning for a clip.
