I was in school in the 90's and I am not sure what the whole band thing was. Of course if it had to do with the band, I would have not paid attention anyways.

I about fell out of my chair when the band called this week asking for money.

I was in high school at the time, but if I remember right a member of the band talked trash to some football players on the bus after a game. Thats all there was to it, but the press made up some bs, and it got blown way out of proportion.
