ISU Clothes with new logo

Has anyone heard when we will be able to get some new ISU gear with the new logo on it?

ISU hasn't finished the logo yet so it'll be a while. We were going to be the first to sell merchandise but ISU hasn't finished the exact color details to get to manufacturers. Once they get all that done, it should only be about a week before merchandise is available.

That is bad marketing on ISU's side, they knew the logo, they should have just delayed the announcement on this until it was all set. Then release the info and send the info to manufacturers that day. Then you can capitilize on the momentum. At this point will I be able to get a new hoodie for xmas?

You can pretty much get next years jersey now since the throwbacks are the same.

Could you elaborate on this a little more?

Does this have to do with the "embossed" look of the new logo? I've noticed the basketball t-shirts that have the "100th Anniversary" logo on it have the same font and 3D effect as the new logo, and it was very obvious that to create that look on a t-shirt, you need 2 very different shades of cardinal (which goes against the idea of having ONE solid deep cardinal color) That's the only complaint I have regarding the new logo...

The logo is final as far as shape, font, etc but the exact color tones haven't been completed. At first there were so many actual colors because of the beveled look and the outline, etc that it would have cost a fortune for screenprinting. They're trying to knock it down to the standard three or four colors. Once they get that done then the products can be printed.

Sounds like you know what's going on Jeremy. Are they not going to offer a simplified version of the logo without the raised letter look too, along with the high end version.....or is that up to the merchandisers as long as they use our official cardinal and gold schemes?

I agree, I was ready to buy a new shirt the week after the announcement. I would love to be able to get some new logo Christmas presents! I think the university and stores could have raked in the money, if they were on the ball. They still could, if they can get some product out in time for Christmas.
