It really sucks that the B12N doesn't stink anymore
Suddenly teams like KU, KSU , MU, even CU are looking pretty good. Only ISU and NU look like crap. I am sure that GC wishes he had someone besides the Hawks to beat.:arghh:
Re: It really sucks that the B12N doesn't stink anymore
i am out of rep for the day... good post.
- keep.
Re: It really sucks that the B12N doesn't stink anymore
We're definitely behind the curve right now. We wasted some golden opportunities the last several years but we can catch up again.
Re: It really sucks that the B12N doesn't stink anymore
You're right on...It will take years and I do mean YEARS just to get back to four wins and four losses in the big 12.
When you're this bad it takes a long time to get competitive with the rest of the league sans Baylor.
I sure miss the years when Mac brought us in at 5 wins and 3 losses in conference play!!!

You mean that YEAR, never did it again, 4-4 was it, and when everyone was bad he was still good for 2-3 losses against teams that he should have beaten.
Re: It really sucks that the B12N doesn't stink anymore
The Big 12 North being good is actually a good thing for ISU. It's Chizik's responsibility to win over the competition - not the competition's responsibility to suck.

But if we could get both, we would take it, right?

But Dan was praised for choking away two North titles in years where the division was HORRIBLE. How is that fair???
Re: It really sucks that the B12N doesn't stink anymore
I don't know about that KSU, KU, and MU have a lot of their players that are making a difference will be gone after this year due to graduating or players that will leave early. KU is the youngest of the three teams. They will have a lot of talent to replace next year.
Re: It really sucks that the B12N doesn't stink anymore
Well, no. I'll take a championship over tough competition versus one over weak any day.

I don't remember him being praised. In fact, I recall that people were pretty upset..

I'll take a championship anyway I can get one...I've been waiting for 45 years for a conference championship & I'll take it anyway I can get it!

I'm not entirely sure you can call two missed field goals Mac's fault...
Sure, ISU should have blown out Missou in 2004, and could have won at Kansas in 2005 - but the team did everything until the end.

Thank you. Did you read that Benjay??
He didn't lose the title in those games, it was the games that he gave away earlier in the conference making those must wins (and giving him a stage to strangle himself in public) that lost the division. Especially in 2005.
Ben, this was a common post amongst Cyclone fans (Tina Turner) concerning Coach McCarney (Ike Turner)
