The Colorado Rockies appear to be near invincible.

simply unbelievable what they are doing...it's kinda sad for them bcuz if the friggin yankees or red sox had the same kinda run that the Rockies are in right now, we would be calling them one of the greatest teams and greatest stretches of baseball OF ALL TIME. BUT since it is the colorado rockies, people just say "well, when are they gonna lose?"
Mad props have to go to their manager on this one as well as the players.

It is bizarre being in Denver these days....
People love the Rockies
Eager for the Nuggets' season to begin
Ambivalent about the Avalanche
and could care less about the Broncos
It is usually the exact opposite. WELCOME TO ROCKTOBER!! | | |

Wow...I'm not sure they can be stopped after the run they are having right now...
(Anyone else in shock that playoff games aren't ending until 12:45 a.m. central time???)

i'm a twins fan, but seeing as they were out of playoff contention long ago, with about 5 days to go of the regular season i decided I would root for the rockies. My brother lives in Denver so I've been to a rockies game every summer for the past 3 years.
It's just been amazing watching what they've been able to accomplish. From the stars aligning for them to just get that one-game playoff with San Diego, to the extra inning win to get into the playoffs, and now 2 consecutive sweeps to make it to the World Series? Rocktober, indeed.

Granted, 8pm local time is a little late but you can't compare it to the NFL that gets to play all their games on the weekend... The Monday night football game was in New York and ran almost as late as to baseball game in Colorado...
