The guy did coach here for quite a while. We did have SOME success with him here.

Along with no MAC posts, then let's make sure never to post ANYTHING about ANYONE that is not with ISU EVER again. We wouldn't want our current athletes or coaches (who could give a rip) to think we aren't supporting them.

"What if" we would have beaten Mizzou and KU to play in the Big 12 Championship...

What if....what if...what if....is the legacy Mac left here....

Mac is gone and we should not even be talking about him, let alone posting on message boards pleaing to e-mail him to tell him we love him, I would hope the day comes when there are no more MAC posts. And everytime there is one this arguement will happen. Because the people that post about Mac are doing so because they think he should still be here and are trying to split the fan base. Not "Oh, I was just posting it so people that wanted to could e-mail him and show him support with his big up coming challenge." Pull my other leg and it plays jingle bells....good grief (Sorry...lol...I used the Charlie Brown agian.)

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner....

BTW, still waiting for someone to post Coach Chizik's e-mail to send him encouragement.

Did someone just say Mac was lucky to have inherited Troy Davis? Remember, Walden did not think Troy was good enough to play. He did nothing until Dan put him in the game, so I am not going to credit Walden with anything there.

    Ahhh.....revisionism, revisionism.

First there were upper classmen who knew the intracacies of the triple option ahead of him (just out of highschool, no redshirt). And judging by the results of the wonderlick that he took, it was going to take some time.

Also, don't forget Brian, that there were NINE players on the offensive side of the ball on Mac's first team (on no talents) that played professionally. How many in this group, overall, not just seniors, do you think are going to play after college???

See, I could grant all kinds of points to people, if they told the whole story, not just halftruths (like Mac).

I don't see anyone posting e-mails for Earl Bruce, Duncan, Criner, or Walden wishing them luck on thier new jobs ? Or Asking to e-mail Tim Floyd or Larry E to wish them good luck on their upcoming season? Where is Morgan's e-mail address?

This was as good as the what if'ers arguements....
Now that isn't fair, I am pretty sure Walden doesn't know how to use a computer...

Please do not utter these words on this website again.

    Johnny Orr
    Larry Eustacy
    Tim Floyd
    Wayne Morgan
    Jim Walden
    Jim Cryner
    Donnie Duncan
    Bobby Douglas
    Dan McCarney
    Pop Warner
Jack Trice-Unless speaking about the actual stadium or field
    Troy Davis

If you speak any of there names. It mean you hate all current Iowa State teams, it's current players, and it's current coaching staff. These people are no longer at Iowa State and you may offend a Division 1, Big 12, football coach, football player, basketball coach, basketball player, wrestler, and wrestling coach. The past no longer exist. We are no longer to support the former people who coached and played here. So let's end this thread now before someone brings up Johnny Majors, or Earl Bruce. It might hurt Gene Chiziks little feeling.

What it boils down to is that the guy kissed ***, and told stories for 12 years. He won some games when everyone else was bad, and people want to believe that the rain that fell on their heads over the years wasn't Dan McCarney **** (which it was). It would be an interesting case study for a sociology major. The enabler (fans like Know), and the abuser (Dan, whoa art imitating life, there Cyboy, that is personal).
The enabler can't let go, and we have threads like this.

I pretty sure that the results would be disturbing.

Thanks for continuing to prove what Storm and I have been saying. You got caught being a *****, and never have reworded your first post in this thread (Dan probably said not to).

And nice shot at Gene Chizik further displaying your TRUE agenda with this bullsh!t.
