Goodell said he'd entertain the idea. To me, the superbowl is one of my favorite things about America. I understand why he's thinking about the idea. I have no problem playing a game over there, but the super bowl?!? Football is an American sport! The biggest sporting event in the country would be out of the country. I bet their are lots of US cities that would want the superbowl.
The biggest issue would be the time zone issue. We'd either have watch the game in the afternoon or late at night.

this wouldpiss me off.. its so dumb, i can see a reg season game or pre season game but no super bowl..

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.
ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." | |

Yeah but a regular season game? That is not fair to the home team since they would not have their crowd. Every game is too important in the NFL. Do a preseason there.

I agree. I think preseason is as far as it should go. The home team would lose millions for even one game lost.

I understand why they want to play NBA games in Europe, since basketball is pretty big over there, and since, relatively speaking, the NBA is struggling here. But the NFL? Just about every city with a team is making boatloads of money right now.....and the majority of Europe doesn't give a crap about football. If they want to expand the NFL, why not start with cities in the US......like LA for example.....our second largest city.

Considering London couldn't even support a World League/NFL Europe team for very long? The London Monarchs were one of the very first teams to fold, and they had one of the best teams (what can I say - when I was a kid I was a World League junkie). 
I mean, if they were to say Frankfurt, Berlin, Dusseldorf (Rhein), or Cologne, where there are all the American Army bases in the area and actually showed interest in their teams while they were there, that would be another thing, but even then I'd still be opposed.

Sure they sold all of the tickets (or at least most, not sure if its sold out) very quickly, but for one game it's more of a novelty than actually caring about the football. This is like when the circus comes to town......of course you're gonna go once, but I'm sure as hell not gonna go every Sunday.

I just love how TV commentators keep saying the NFL will never meet its potential and truly succeed until they get a team back in the LA market.
Seems to me the NFL's done quite well for itself over the last decade without a team there...
