    Reliving the 1995-96 Season

So while I was home over the weekend, I found the highlight show put out by WOI from that year. Man was that a great team. They played so well together. Cato dunked so hard that I don't know how he didn't break his hand! Man, watching that tape makes me feel so good to bed a Cyclone fan even through the bad times. I can't wait until G-Mac has us back to those days!

Happens when Harrison Barnes shows up on our doorstep.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

I also die a little bit inside every time I see Andre Miller hit that shot in the NCAA tournament...

Do you mean Cameron Dollar over an outstreched Cato? I can't remember Andre Miller hitting a shot against us.

Thats my all-time favorite ISU team to watch. Each player brought something different and exciting to the game.

I was @ the game in san antonio that year. Talk about an emotional roller coaster. The way we played in the first halfL we could have won it all that year. The second hald was one of the most stressful 20 minutes of basketball I have ever witnessed. Walking out after the game, I was following Gary Thompson and Martin Jischke (ISU pres at the time) you have never seen such a sullen look as the look on his face. I also remember GT saying we were one scorer away from the final four in reference to Shawn Bankhead.

I will not directly respond to this for fear of the wrath BigD will impart on me. However, if you'd like details, send me an email at DearAbbey.

    Re: Reliving the 1995-96 Season

Sorry, in all my excitement I forgot to spell be instead of bed. O well. The Cameron Dollar shot was the next year in the UCLA game. I'm talking about when we played Utah in the second round when Jacy, Dedric, and that bunch were all Juniors. As odd as this sounds, I think losing Joe Modderman from the Big 8 title team hurt. It really hurt our depth in terms of outside shooters. They were just a lot of fun to watch. I can't wait for this season to start!

Was the San Antonio game the one which Clay Edwards kept throwing bricks when shooting free throws?

Mediacom has been replaying the B12 tourney win over Oklahoma all week again. Tinsley, Fizer, Nurse, Horton and Johnson. I must have watched that 15 times already.
