Another BIG recruiting weekend...

At least three major recruits for Iowa State are schedule to visit this weekend, and that means our response as Cyclones is important. They are:

Tracy Robertson 6-4 230lb DE (sounds like super pass rush potential)
Jerome Tiller 6-3 184 QB (we really need this guy, can run and pass)
Cedric Mack 6-4 335 OL (JC Player, would anchor one side of the line)

These are all I know of, but I assume there will be others who are not listed on the official list.

thats great...except i dont consider it on the same level if theyve already committed. dont get me wrong we still have to impress, and im sure there are more coming than those 3, but guys like mack and others that we WANT to commit are the ones i think we need to be bringing in.

We do need to give them a reason top stay committed to us. This is a chance to impress them. They only heard of Ames, now they can see what the next 5 years could be like.

Hopefully Tiller and Robertson, who are not totally solid commits...taking other visits, don't rethink their decision if they see us get killed on a cold, rainy, ames iowa day. Yet maybe they'll see it as an opportunity to immediately make a difference.

I too want pasion like Ace exudes. Our defensive secondary players play too loose to win and need to get closer to the receivers. The defensive linemen need to put their arms up since they cannot get to the passer.

Lets put it this way... Whether people realize it or not... The rest of the weekends here on out are going to big recruiting weekends. With it getting late in the High School season more kids are going to be able to attend.


So... Next week on Thursday or Friday I won't be supprised when I see the weekly...

Score lots of points, especially when we have the oppurtunity, 30 yard line or in
Chasing and tackling the RB's, WR's, TE's, whoever has the ball
The 3 penalties we get a game seem to all be drive killers, see texas game
Everybody on special teams to play well, from Shaggy to coverage guys to the coach on the sideline yelling for the special team players
