He told me tonight that his ribs are broke. Said he can't play at all on Saturday. I told him that I hope he was lying but who knows. This will be very bad news if austen can't play too. They said he might play too though, just drop back passiung. come on bret, get nit done.

I also heard that Drenatd Williams may have been kicked off the team. That may be why Blythe has been returning punts the last couple weeks..

Umm...Blythe hasn't been returning kicks for a couple weeks, he took over in the second half last week when D. Williams got hurt returning one. So if he got kicked off the team it was this week. Which I've heard nothing about elsewhere.

I honestly don't know what happened during the Tech game (couldn't listen to it where I was at that night), but I do know the reason why Blythe wasn't returning punts in the first half against Texas was because we didn't force them to punt until the second half. And I have to say, Blythe is not a punt returner. He didn't want to get anywhere near those punts even when they landed in front of the 10 yard line (which I've been told is when you actually want to make the fair catch, and behind the 10 is when you want to let it go). We really need to find another option for punt returns (that is, if we can force Okie into one this week)

Actually Drenard Williams did not play against Texas, so he never got hurt returning a punt or whatever. Also, i don't think i saw him today, and Blythe was our PR. A player on the team said Drenard screwed up in some warmup on Friday and was kicked off the team??? not sure of the details but i think it might be an accumulation of bad events that got him the boot. Yet i'm not completely sure, just what the player told me.

Does anyone know Bates real injury? I know he told me it's his ribs, but i don't think they're broke.
