I couldn't make the game today and could only listen to part of it. Did Bass play at all?
Someone needs to tell the O coordinator to flip the play book around, he is looking at it sideways. Most of our plays today were left to right for little or no gain. DUH!:dull:Quote:

I don't understand why Bass isn't getting carries if he's healthy. I'm proud of Scales and glad he's finally healthy, but he's not an every down back IMO. Bass has more of a burst. Scales has Stevie Hicks type speed but less dancing and a nice stiff arm. I'd have no problem spliting the carries right down the middle between the two.
That being said, Bass has to be hurt.
His shoulder is still banged up, and Scales has been doing a good job, so the I don't believe the staff is going to rush Bass back to the field.
Umm....problem is, our up the middle runs were not producing ANYTHING all game long. Our only chance was to try to spread OU's D side to side with sweeps and misdirection plays. However, OU's speed on D made it look like we were calling the wrong plays, but we weren't. Scales got a couple of off-tackle runs going, but for the most part, running into the line got us nothing.Quote:

What is the deal with Bates? I saw him and Sandvig sitting in the front row yesterday? It appears that Chizik has all the injured players sit in the stands rather than stand on the sidelines.
I'm not sure what is up with Bass, but Scales has looked good when he has had a hole. If he gets through the line, he always drives the tackler backwards.
22 carries for 46 yards, maybe i was watching another game, but he didn't look good. He did look slow.Quote:
