My thoughts on the game.

I agree there is a lot of room for improvement. We need to pressure the QB. That was the obvious reason for their passsing game working so well. Also, their playcalling(Toledo's) was superb. The TE would get lost in the line, the recievers would take coverage away, and the TE would pop out wide open. One thing that really gave me hope was that we made some adjustments at half. That TE play was not as open in the second half. That is a tough play for inexperienced players to defend. Hat of to Toledo for their game plan. Hats off to the Clones for not folding.

This game should have been over in regulation. We made a lot of mistakes and let them back in it. Some of that can be attributed to a young defense, and some was just poor playing.

Point being, we looked good last night. We know our offense can move the chains. The linebackers and D-Line were better than I anticipated. If our secondary can improve, we're going to be just fine.

Not even close actually, Texas Tech in 2003 completed 52 passes on us.

Of course, 39 is #2 all time. So yes, could be a hell of a lot better.
