    Re: Leopard

It actually isn't on sale until 6pm tonight. If you pre-ordered it direct from Apple it should arrive by FedEx sometime this morning/afternoon.

I was hoping this had to do w/ Def Leopard. I'm so sad now.

    Re: Leopard

I don't have it yet, but I saw that they're selling single-user copies at the bookstore for about $70 after the weekend is over. Definitely looking forward to it -- even if it does just make my aging Powerbook look even more obsolete.

I missed my pre-ordered leopard this morning, as my roommate was not up to sign for it from Fed-Ex. Terrible because now i have to wait till monday...unless I can go pick it up somewhere, but I dont think so.

    Re: Leopard

I will probably wait on this for a few weeks. I've read that Adobe CS3 may have issues with it. Anyone know more about this?

    Re: Leopard

I will wait a bit before trying it. I am not a big mac guy, but my wife likes her little macbook. But there are some things that really annoy me about it, so hopefully this will address some of those issues.

I've heard that too, but I've also heard from a lot more people that CS3 works fine with Leopard.

    Re: Leopard

Just got my copy of Leopard from the FedEx guy. Installing right now while I'm at work. A few good things I've noticed so far:

1.) The installers disk utility was able to fix the partition map that the Boot Camp beta screwed up. I won't have to reformat the drive.
2.) Archive and Install (archives old system so you get a fresh system) will now import your users and their home directories so you don't have to manually go find the items you used to have.

The bad thing I noticed: The install is HUGE! 11Gb for the default install. Turn off the foreign translations and the printer drivers you don't need and save some space.
