Todd Blythe-American Pie

McCarney used this American Pie Quote reworked during the 2nd OT:

No longer will our *Todd Blythe* remain flaccid and unused! From now on, we fight for every man out there who isn't getting *touchdowns* when he should be! This is our day! This is our time! And, by God, we're not gonna let history condemn us to *scorelessness*! We will make a stand! We will succeed! We will get *a score*!

Just throw him the ball....he did have 5 catches, but I think if I remember correctly those 5 catches were on only 6 balls thrown his way, and two of the 5 catches came late in OT. It seemed like we were reluctant to give him opportunities to use his abilities. Perhaps it's a function of it being the first game and not wanting to open the entire playbook up...or at least I hope it is. In my opinion he and Meyer are the most talented players on our team. We used Meyer beautifully last night...now let's just get Blythe working.

They need to throw to him at least 10 times a game. I love Sumrall too, he's gonna be good.

I wasn't focusing on Blythe's patterns all that much, but you can be sure that teams are going to work very hard to take away his deep threat. Toledo is no exception.

When Blythe is covered, we have Flynn and Davis. And Flynn had a hell of a game. He's a damn good receiver.

If Blythe catches too many TDs, he might go pro next year. Last one was on ESPN as play of the night. Can someone put that play on utube? For that matter, cyclones.com should capture the big plays on video and showcase for the first month they are free.

EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Captain, beware of your Superbowl.

I was only able to listen to the game...but that pic is sickening. I agree w/ Bryce. Blythe keeps that up, & he'll have to leave with his draft stock high.

We sampled the forbidden fruit....
