Re: Question to ponder: would DMac go back to Iowa?

I would say a Lib. He likes making sure that all things are equal and no one prospers too much. Even with more talent he likes to see the less fortunate compete and even win a few. (UConn, Boise St, Baylor, Toledo, etc......)

Would Mac go back? - In a split second.

Will he get the opportunity? - Highly unlikely.

In assembling his staff, he asks Dan McCarney to be his defensive coordinator. Does anyone think he'd do it?

On the one hand, he was Iowa State's head coach for 12 years, and established himself by beating Iowa 6 times. But on the other hand, Iowa gave him his start, serving on the Iowa coaching staff under Hayden Fry for quite a few years. He seems comfortable in his current role at USF, but if Iowa were to "call him home", would he accept?

I heard from a very good source that Norm Parker will step down at the end of the year. It's not to far fetched that DM will be the next DC at Iowa.

funny, because the Iowa D is pretty solid this year, really. Not great, but certainly serviceable, and pretty young.

    Its the o that's horrible.

agree, likely republican. He beat his wife. And some people wanted to keep him here because he was a nice guy not because he did a good enough job. Next thing he will be spewing out hate against gays all the while having a secret man love with Sklandany.
