That said, I think some of the better companies still have 720 LCDs in the 40 inch range right now. Probably a great buy right now, because they likely won't be around a whole lot longer. If the need isn't too pressing, I would thing about waiting until black friday to see if you can score a big deal. I picked up a projection HD set and an LCD last year, both were almost a steal. Just had to put up with the crowds at best buy Hey what do you think of your projection HD? I've heard they are some of the best values out there, but the bulbs can get spendy. However I understand you can now get some light emiting diode version which really help solve that problem.

Re: HD TV question...
Ok, on the HD topic, anyone having issues with NBC? I never have any issues, and last night Heroes pixelized up on me a few times. It was most annoying. I figured I would ask before I mess with the antenna.

Re: HD TV question...
Yes, have had some sporadic pixelation of NBC over the past couple weeks. Always when I'm watching the hot Bionic Woman.

Yeah that is exactly what mine is, most of the time it is rock solid perfect, but once and a great while it will just pixelize up and go back to normal. I have noticed it with earl last week and heros last night.

Re: HD TV question...
Yup...same thing. Annoying.
Making me think I aught to go to that antenna I put on the in-laws roof last weekend.
May not help though, could very well be a feed issue.

Re: HD TV question...
I just bought a Vizio 37" LCD from Sam's Club a few weeks ago, only good things to say about it so far. Only 1080i but the main reason I got it was so I could mount it on the wall so my son wouldn't try to climb on our other TV. I get local HD channels without an antenna, the only one that's ever had any stuttering problems is fox and that's rarely.
Downstairs I have a 55" behemoth CRT Projection that I've had for about 3 years, has a great picture so I just can't bring myself to upgrade while it's still kickin'.

The last of the major manufacturers quit making them last yeat as they are "old" technology. However, if properly callibrated and maintained a good crt still produces a better picture than any of the newer technologies. I love mine and will be keeping it around for quite some time.
As for the LCD and DLP rear projections, I do think they are the most inches for your dollar, and are a great option if you aren't short on space. The bulbs can run a couple hundred bucks but should last you at least 5 to 6 years even with frequent viewing. The LED DLP does eliminate this and I believe it also prevents the "rainbow effect", but from what I have heard, they are still quite expensive. Samsung has one I think. In general, I think Samsung has a very nice line of rear projection DLPs. The LCD rear projection Sonys are also a good bet if you don't want to shell out the money for the Sony SXRD LCOS set.

Re: HD TV question...
I've had alot of problems with NBC pixelating lately. By the way, how was Heroes last night? I missed it due to family commitments.

It was good. There were alot of lines crossed for almost all of the characters. Everyone is being forced to make hard choices.
