why directv vs. dish?

I totally agree Angie, I love my tivo's. I cannot handle the thought of having to trade in my old reliable tivo's for anything else. I cannot understand why directv would give away the perfect piece of technology for just another crappy dvr.

Those are my thoughts exactly!! I have a few friends who have Replay or whatever it is, and even it pales in comparison to the blessed TiVo.

Just for an update, I have an HR20 (700) and a new software patch just went to the box tonight and I now have DOD (Directv On Demand). You have to have an internet connection to the box but it's another plus.

Again, stop with the HR20 posts, I really don't want to have to call and play CSR roulette to get a deal on these things. Ugh!
