My biggest event was I saw a homerun hit in the same game by both Stan Musial and Hank Aaron in Milwaukee.
Are you happy?
If you look at my initial post the first line said: TV stuff seen initially and shown on Classics. That was an indicator.

1984 LA Olympics Track and Field, Boxing, Opening and Closing Ceremonies. I worked at the Coliseum and Sports Arena then.
Over the next few years there, a few Raiders/Broncos games....usually would fill the stadium back then. And a few USC/Notre Dame and USC/UCLA football games.
Also worked a World Series in Oakland. Not sure of the year........1988 or 1989

2003 KSU at NU football game. First college football game ever, two ranked teams on national television. I was in high school. Fun experience to watch a game shoulder to shoulder with 80,000 football fans. Even better was watching one of my favorite teams blow out Nebraska 38-9 at home.
As well as... all ISU home football games since 2005 and most basketball games...

I don’t care… I want Jack Trice stadium to be the loudest in the Big 12 and I think that creates homefield advantage.... I want to stress to everyone…I want this place to be juiced up. They bought 36,000 season tickets so there is a passion there…don’t hide it… let it out. I want there to be a passion in the stadium."

Pretty big deals in my opinion! | |

Kind of obscure, but an Italian Serie A (the top league of Italian soccer) playoff match in 1999 between Fiorentina and Bologna in Florence. By far the craziest sports event I've ever seen. Prior to the match mobs of people would just rush a ticket gate and overwhelm the people and jump the gate until cops could come over and shoot tear gas. Also tons of people just climbing the (really tall) fence and jumping over. I was this close to being caught in the middle of a riot. We had reserved seats but had to stand on the stairs (not that we would have sat) because there were at least 10,000 more people in the stadium than were supposed to be. It was great.
I didn't really care about soccer prior to that game....just thought it would be fun to go....but seeing the obvious passion made me fan and I still am.

Twins/Royals/Cards/Cubs/Rangers/Colts/Vikings/Chiefs games. One Indy500 race, the year Danica almost held on for the win. ISU...well we've all been to that, but my most memorable ISU game was the last time we went to Waco and won by one point. I thought it was real classy, when the game was over Dan and some of team members came over to the section where all of us were sitting and clapped in appreciation for those that made the trip.

I went to a soccer game in Italy once- Rome vs. Messina (city in Sicily). It was nuts- I thought I would die. anyone who thinks drunk college kids are poor sports needs only go to a soccer game w/ a bunch of mostly sober italian soccer mafia-thugs!

Oh, and I've been to several Nebraska/Colorado games in Lincoln the day after Thanksgiving.
Also one college world series, and one Big XII championship football game...the one where K-State beat the living **** out of OU, funny to see the reactions of the OU fans.

2002 ISU vs. Texas Tech...the run (like a lot of others on here)
oh, and I liked the '02 ISU vs. Nebraska game as well.

Nov 26, 1995-I was in Indy to witness Dan Marino breaking the all time TD record against the Colts. I was sitting 6 rows up from the endzone that he threw to. Of course, I forgot my camera.
March, 1999-Cincinnati. I was sitting right behind the ISU bench when the ladies knocked off UConn. That was a blast. Every time they showed a close up of the bench, there I was. Loved it.
October, 2000-Miami. Three buddies and I went to the Miami-Florida State game. That was unbelievable. 90K fans. It was hot. There were TONS of former NFL players there. The atmosphere before the game was something like I've never seen. Game Day was there. Miami drove the ball in the final two minutes to take the lead. FSU came back down for another FG to win and it sailed wide right. That was fantastic.

Well, let's see.
1) The 2004 Big XII FB championshi..... noooo
2) The 2005 Big XII FB ch..... d@mn.
1) Eddie Robinson game in '02.
2) I made an I-Cubs playoff game a few years back.
The only sporting event I've been too with any significance would've been Paul Molitor's 40th game in his hit streak. Not sure it was 40, but it was up there. Just a few days before it was snapped.
