My biggest regret this year for ISU is we didn't get to join the fun and pile on the points against Nebraska. If we played them now I think things would be different but I feel that Missouri, Kansas, and soon Colorado are getting all the fun and we missed out BIG time. So sad.

Unfortunately, I still don't think our offense is capable of piling points on anyone just yet.

I think Nebraska will continue their "bend over tour" next year, as well. We will get our chance in Jack Trice.

I think we're just a little too excited about our close games vs OU and Mizzu and the win over K-State. We still have a number of issues to correct.
But, the ship is definitely headed in the right direction. Just not quite to port yet.

Let's surmise: one defensive touchdown and two fieldgoals and four TDs (2 each by AA and BM). Huskers score three TDs and three interceptions with no running game.
New FINAL: ISU 41, Nebraska 21.

we hadnt quite learned how to finish then. well we arent great now either but we are closer. they had kNu on their heels and were on the top of that hill about 5 mins into the 2nd quarter...we either piled on the points or let them back in. unfortuantely, we fell backwards back down the hill. i dont see that happening again. we know how to fight now.

It might be 3-4 years before they are this terrible again.

i disagree. they will be bad again next year. the ship is pretty sunk...too far sunk to right in a year or two. besides, we are only going to get better for the next 3-4 years.

Yeah, but they still have stud Lyndon Murtha out with turf toe and Joe Ganz will be back. Forget it. You are right. They missed the train station with this team. Good riddance, Bill. Not only did you embarrass Nebraska, you made the Big 12 look bad. However, your new state of the art film studio for football is just as good as a pro football team. That will be your Legacy. A film studio and a 40 ft waterfall in the entry.
