41. KANSAS STATE (5-4)
OK, losing to Kansas is one thing. But losing to Iowa State? Weak. Next: at Nebraska.
Still no respect....it will be earned sooner, than later.

74. IOWA STATE (2-8)
Cyclones have been playing OK football of late, and they stepped up and bit K-State on Saturday.

Not bad. Far and away the highest-ranked 2-win team.

For context...

75. PITT (4-5)
True freshman TB LeSean McCoy is the real deal. Now, Panthers need to get more talent around him. Next: at Rutgers (Nov. 17).

It's nice to see rankings by someone who has obviously looked beyond just our W-L record.

They're not pumping us up too much, however...

41. KANSAS STATE (5-4)
OK, losing to Kansas is one thing. But losing to Iowa State? Weak. Next: at Nebraska.

“My expectation of Iowa State is that we should be able to win games against great football teams. If I expected anything less, I wouldn’t be here, and they shouldn’t be playing for me.” — Gene Chizik

52. IOWA (5-5)
Iowa's offense isn't much, but playing against Gophers' defense (their word, not ours) should be a nice cure-all. Next: vs. Minnesota.

- I know its EIU, but that's funny.

I am just hoping bigtime that as much as EIU has played the last two games against teams that should have clobbered them senseless and won, that they find some way to play the next two patsy's that appear to be nothing more then a easy win in such a way that they get clobbered by one or better yet both of them.

There would be plenty of trailerhouses set ablaze and lots of Domino pizza's that would not make the 30 minute deadline.

Colorado coach Gary Barnett "I thought we had a pretty good mascot, but when we showed up at Iowa State, they had a real tornado. That's the real deal." November 12, 2005

Sagarin had UNI at #40 and ISU at #95 and Hawks in between. Woe to those beneath #95. Tim Brewster?

EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Captain, beware of your Superbowl.
