Ticket pickup will be different this year in that tickets will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. So, you will want to come early to the ticket pickup to get a good seat at the games. The line will be set up on Saturday after fans from the football game clear the area. FREE food from the Iowa Pork Producers will be served beginning at 5:00 PM on Sunday. We will begin handing out tickets at 7:00 PM on Sunday and it will run until 10:00 PM. To pick up your ticket you will need your ISU student ID and your ticket vouchers for BOTH the Iowa and Kansas games. You may pick up tickets for your friends, but you will need to bring their student ID and their ticket vouchers. There is not a limit to how many tickets you can pick up.

I wish they would just do the usual voucher method where you have the set time to go pick up your tickets. I have tests next week and thing I need to be doing Sunday night other than standing out in the cold.

Yeah, that's one thing that sucks about this method. I need to be spending that time studying for tests too. I work in the afternoon so I'll be like price26 and head there around 6 (unless you want to pick it up for me and help me get better grades?)
Hopefully, the good thing that will result of this method is that it'll get all the loud, diehard fans in one place (up front) where they can better spread their energy through out the crowd. The greater the reward, the greater lengths you have to go through to get it.
One thing I've always wished is that they'd give out tickets for the big games based on seniority. Academic seniors get first dibs on tickets, and then give them out to the rest. With the exception of the Kansas game last year, I've always been relegated to the back of the student section because of my voucher number, and now it looks like I won't be able to experience the atmosphere up close my senior year.
Now that they scan the tickets rather than tear the stubs, couldn't they be able to figure out who is attending the games and who isn't? That way they could reward the people who show up for all of the games with a chance to get their tickets eariler without having to sacrifice their studies.
