Had a bad conversation last night reg. Lucca
Spoke with my people. It does not sound good for Lucca Staiger at this point. I think the crowd support is helping him make his decision to stick around. I would encourage everyone to keep up the freelucca chants. Let him know we want him.

Yeah I just don't see this being overturned. The NCAA is probably tired of the black eyes they have been taking, and then need to draw a line in the sand somewhere, unfortunately ISU got caught in that.

Lloyd: Not good like 1 in 100?
Mary: No, I'd say more like 1 in a 1,000,000.
Lloyd: So you're saying there's a chance!

Don't expect him this year not good.

Re: Had a bad conversation last night reg. Lucca
Not playing this year, would that possibly mean he might pack up and leave to go play pro or what?

New idea: Remember when Bobby Valentine got kicked out of a Mets game he was managing and reappeared in the dugout with a false moustache? Maybe this would work with Lucca.
We'll call him a late recruit, Werner Dunkenstein.

Has anyone notice how long this has been on the NCAA website? I don't remeber seeing it before...

We'll call him a late recruit, Werner Dunkenstein. This is kind of off the topic, but for years I have wondered if college football teams have put players in uniform that have used up their eligibility. As an example, just suppose DeAndre Jackson has healed his knee, but doesn't have a pro contract. How hard would it be to put him in a uniform and pretend he's someone else. Especially against teams he hasn't faced where the opposing players might recognize him.
I wouldn't want us to do it, but I bet it's been done. If you think I'm stupid you're not alone. I've asked this of a couple of our previous head coaches and they told me I was stupid too!!

I've always wondered that too. I would think it would get out though. Someone on the team would tell someone else and it would spread from there.

I got the same impression based on GM's quote regarding his mind telling him one thing and his heart another. I'm just wondering what is driving the lack of hope.
