CNN/SI gives ruling the Monday got Hose award.
Don't know if anyone else saw this, but, here's a link to an article in CNN/SI about the ruling, unfortunately they only name the WSU player thats getting hosed and Staiger is under the same ruling....but at least its another realist out there that thinks the NCAA is gone absolutely mad for ruling in this manner but allowing Dogus Balbay to play at Texas....Oh yeah its texas!!!!!!!!!!!
two links.... New NCAA rules may set precedent for foreign players - USATODAY.com SI.com - SI On Campus - The Monday Awards: Honoring the best (and worst) of the weekend in CFB - Monday October 29, 2007 11:29AM

The "monday, you got hosed" paragraph should be added to Freelucca.com. It says exactly what everyone is thinking.

It mentions Lucca in the first sentence.

Here is the paragraph from SI on campus....
We here at the Monday Awards Committee hate it when rules get in the way of better judgment. For that reason, we're giving the You Got Hosed Award to ex-Washington State basketball player Rabian Boeke, who has been banned from playing this season by the NCAA. Apparently, players on Boeke's high school team in Germany, but not Boeke, received stipends that the NCAA believes were beyond necessary expenses. They have therefore ruled that the team was a professional organization and have made Boeke ineligible to play for the Cougars this season. Here's a kid who played on the basketball team associated with his high school, who received no money, who did nothing wrong, but who will be punished nonetheless by an organization that seems to regard rules more than common sense.

Wow, I can't believe the idiotic comments below that article.

I noticed that it says "ex-Washington State" basketball player. Did this kid quit the team and go back to Europe? SI.com - SI On Campus - The Monday Awards: Honoring the best (and worst) of the weekend in CFB - Monday October 29, 2007 11:29AM -

I think the one thing that would **** me off the most is if Fabian Boeke gets reinstated due to the national media attention he's been receiving but they stick to their guns on the Lucca decision.

Re: CNN/SI gives ruling the Monday got Hose award.
Is there an email somewhere for Jacob E. Osterhout that someone could write and tell him to correct the mis-spelled name and also include Lucca on it? Get your facts straight pal...

And the fact that they misspelled the other dude's name doesn't exactly make the article reek with ethos, but whatever.
