new footbal prospects
Looking through the list and some interesting people we are after that we werent before or doing better with.
on the front page of CR we have offered a new 3* OL and my educated guess is Joe King. He was a medium interest and now a High Interest with Iowa State and Oklahoma. It says a visit is coming Joe King - Football Recruiting
Anyone else look at the center prospect Evan Epstein from Texas. Has Southern cal, florida, ucla, cal, stanford and others on his list. Not sure why he is not higher rated. Evan Epstein - Football Recruiting
If we got Joe King and Cedrick Mack it would be an awesome offensive Line group. IT would really help to get Dan Hoch. Hopefully Chiziks visit with him helped our chances. He is 6'6 and so is Joe King and getting these prospects would really help.
For Saftey Prospects Zaviar Gooden looks like a solid prospect. A 3* at 6'2 195 from Texas. Runs a 4.4 40. Doesnt list Oklahoma but under updates it shows oklahoma pursuing him as well as the other schools. Zaviar Gooden Profile - Football Recruiting
Also Daniel Thomas 6'2 227 lbs is an intriguing prospect. He is a 4* saftey committed to ole miss. He is a soft committ and a JC player and if we could get him like Allen Bell from Ole Miss it would be awesome. Daniel Thomas - Football Recruiting
Athlete Darius Darks would be a decent Wide reciever as well Daniel Thomas - Football Recruiting -
Re: new footbal prospects
i have a hard time believing that hoch will decommit despite my hopes. once osborne calls him its in the bag. he not a 4* guy from so cal coming to nebraska because of callahan...hoch grew up hearing about the huskers and their tradition first hand.

I think it matters for kids from the midwest who have watched them more closely growing up, especially Hoch who I believe is a Nebraska fan. But for people from the west and east costs it may not matter. And in 10 years all the kids will have grown up with Nebraska not doing anything and the tradition they had will not matter.
Step 1: Cut a hole in the box. -

Commentators always claim all the IOWA tradition and blah blah blah so they have always gotten better recruits. Until recently the ISU tradition was a losing one from as far back as people can remember. No one looked at the now as much as the tradition behind Iowa state. Chizik is fixing that hopefully

Re: new footbal prospects
I would see their poor year as more opportunity to play right away, and step in and make a difference. You know the press is going to be watching them very closely next year and that would be a good opportunity, if he plays well, to get some recognition on the big stage.
But I would not cry if he decommits, don't get me wrong.

I hope your wrong, i hope he's not a Nebraska fan....but to be honest, when i was growing up, something i often said was if it wasnt going to be Iowa or Iowa St. i'm glad a midwest team is competing for the national title instead always Pac10 and SEC teams and mainly not all Florida teams.....
So i can understand it if he is, but, with everything thats going on over there, he cannot picture them being national title contenders next year can he????
If not, then why not go to a school thats got excitment around it and you could be a building block in a new tradition, a legend, a great....what does he think he's gonna be the next Steinkuhler???? Not baker either, i'm talkin Dean.....
Its all good, i think Chiz is recruiting the heck out of the lines, he knows where a game is won and lost for sure.....it starts up front, say all you want about skill positions, no holes or no time, NO GOOD!!!!
Just ask Brad Banks, put him behind last years ISU line and he wouldnt have been in the top 5 qb's in the North let alone the country.....

Re: new footbal prospects
Getting excited for recruits based on stats and numbers only leaves you to be disappointed.

Re: new footbal prospects
Dan Hoch has been in contact with EIU... he must not be 100% in Nebraska's fold...

Re: new football prospects
someone should tell mr. hoch if he likes losing then keep your schollie offer with the fuskers. if you want to play with a good chance of starting, commit to the cyclones.nice to see that the fuskers may be the bottom feeder in the big 12 north next year. just hope when they dump cally-han ,they do not hire turner gill as their head coach.then they will come back in a hurry, because gill is a tremendous
recruiter.
