Oklahoma St when the floor was shaking
Kansas the year we beat them and they went on to win the national championship with Danny Manning
Michigan St. with Scott Skiles
Iowa with Lafester scoring 54.
Those are the first ones that come to my mind.
The '99 McDonalds All-America Game
The game Hoiberg got 42 (or so) on KU was pretty good!
I was there too. That was the one where Johnathan Bender broke Michael Jordan's scoring record in the game. Lot of big name players in the game that made the NBA like Mike Dunleavy, Carlos Boozer, Casey Jacobsen, Jason Kapono, Keith Bogans, Nick Collison, Brian Cook, DeMarr Johnson, Jason Richardson, and Jay Williams.
The Iowa game the year we went to the Elite 8 was one of the loudest I ever heard it. We got up like 13-2 before Alfraud finally called a timeout and Mike Nurse had his hands over his ears it was so loud. The Texas game where Fizer dunked over Mihm was great and for 2 years there Hinrich and Collison went 0-4 against the Cyclones between Hilton and the Fogg. Hinrich I think fouled out of all 4 games trying to gaurd Tinsley.
I forgot the Texas game Fizer vs. Mihm.
Another game I just thought of, I can't remember who it was but it was Eustachy's first seson I think and was a game during the winter break. Mike Nurse had just got hit by a car that Sunday and I think it was a Thursday night game. Nurse was not even suited up in the first half and we were getting killed by some no-name team. Fizer gets his 4th foul early in the 2nd half then all the sudden here comes Nurse off the bench all taped up from his injurys. The first shot he takes is at least 5+ feet behind the 3 point line which I yelled "what are you doing???" right before it swished. He scored like 13 points and got us back in the game which we eventually won. This from a guy that had just got hit by a car walking across the street 4 days earlier. Nurse became one of my favorite players after watching that gutsy performance.
That was probably one of the most well-balanced teams we've ever had at ISU. Fizer was a beast in the post, Horton and Nurse were snipers from the 3 point arc, Tinsley could break someone's ankles on the drive, and you had solid role players like Stevie Johnson, Shirley, Rancik, and freshman Brandon Hawkins. If you doubled down on the big guy you better not leave one of the guards alone because they'd make you pay.
