AMES, Iowa -- It's no secret that Iowa State student-athletes put in hours and hours of grueling practice time for the opportunity to shine on the court, mat or field.* But the student-athletes' dedication isn't over when the game or match ends.* On Friday, Nov. 3, when most students were enjoying the start of a long-awaited weekend, 22 Iowa State student-athletes spent the night volunteering with Youth and Shelter Services.
