SportsCenter mention

So I was just watching SportsCenter. Kirk Herbstreit was listing his top 5 teams (inicidentally 3 big 12 teams - OU, KU, and MU).

Afterwards, Scott Van Pelt was talking about the top 5 teams upcoming games next week, and when he gets to kansas, he says, "Kansas hosts Iowa State, the Cyclones are struggling."

I was a little dissappointed with that comment, I was expecting something to the tune of "the Cyclones have been playing well lately."

Oh well, I guess that just shows that we can swoop in under the radar and shock the jayhawks!

Frustrating, but they don't pay much attention to teams like Iowa State until we start winning more games. That will come.

I heard that too and kinda laughed. The only time I've seen Iowa State on sportscenter this year is when we played OU and they showed one play from the game.... But hey, least they weren't talking about the Yankees like they do 99.9% of the time (or constantly showing highlights from them 20 times in one show....).

That just goes to prove that all the big sports guys don't actually pay any attention whatsoever to sports unless it's one huge team against another huge team in a ultra-high-profile matchup. All they do is look at final scores and win-loss records and say that's good enough.

Agreed- all the better for when we knock off KU next week!

Muttsburger mentioned that KU has an easy game against Iowa State and then the big Mizzu game.

Also someone tivo that and then send it in to ESPN when we win. Title it "struggling".

For the record, I wouldn't be at all surprised if ISU won next week. If your clones play the same way they played against KState, you'll beat KU.

Some of the lack of respect that KU receives is deserved... if they had played the schedule of any other team in the Big XII, they'd have at least 1, probably 2 losses by now.

Back in August, ESPN's Website had the hardest & easiest schedules in Division 1 Football. KU was number 1 for the easiest schedule. They have won the games they were suppose to and have gotten confidence along the way but wouldn't it be sweet if the Clones could go into Lawrence and beat KU!! I am a Big 12 North fan, but KU needs to go down... Shut-up the fat man (Mangino) and honestly, Chizik has gotten his troops to play to his standards..Go Clones.......HITMAN

If we beat KU and then MU beats them and wins out, they have a decent shot at the title game themselves.

The only SportsCenter mention we need is when we pull off the upset next week in Lawrence. If they want to overlook us for their so called "big game" next week against Missouri, let them, because the Cyclones will storm into the tornado Valley (or the Cyclone Valley) and make Kansas tap their red shoes together and come back to reality that Iowa State can beat you! Forget SportsCenter and let our game do the talking next week. I can't wait!

Man I wish I was Fowler or Herbstreit so that next week when Corso picks Kansas big after ragging on them the whole season and finally picking them by 3 today at Okie St. I could drop an atomic "NOT SO FAST" on his goofy @$$!
