He'll get over it. I remember being homesick, then all of the sudden something just clicked, and i was more comfortable in Ames than back home.

I know, I like Cory a lot. Mac said in the postgame that he was on the scout team all week though, and he really isn't a great rebounder. I just hope he can find a niche on the team.

Re: Quick update on MBB recruiting
He has a niche, come off the bench, provide hustle and energy, and make a few shots.

Re: Quick update on MBB recruiting
Two games into the season and they know someones going to leave? Why not just leave now then?
Let's hope it's not Sean Haluska

He's one of my favorites for sure. The kid has a spark about him and seems to enbody everything that is good about college athletics. Heart and determination winning out over raw talent. The kid has blossomed physically from last year to this and he's been able to work it a little around the basket... Need kids like him on your roster....

what exactly are the rumors about pomlee? there seems to be a bunch of us confused on what exactly that is

Re: Quick update on MBB recruiting
Rumors are that we're still recruiting him even though we don't have any scholarships to offer at the current time.

Re: Quick update on MBB recruiting
With all the transfers the last couple years, and the possibility of one this year are we in jeopardy of losing a scholarship per the new NCAA rules?

Transfers don't hurt if they leave with good academic standing. To the best of my knowledge everyone that has left since McDermott got here has left in good standing.

Re: Quick update on MBB recruiting
Nut up Vette... it's a big world out there, expanding it from Waverly to Ames is just one step in the process of growing up. I'm sure it can be overwhelming jumping into D-I hoops, a large Big 12 campus etc... but man, what most of us would have given to be in that position at 18 or 19.... think of the 18 year olds who enlist in the military and are now patrolling streets of Baghdad... I think I'd rather be in Vette's shoes.
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. Re: Quick update on MBB recruiting
Everyone reacts to new situations differently. I know a lot of people who felt overwhelmed their first semester of college and/or were feeling very homesick. And that was without the hectic schedule of being an athlete. Saying he should "nut up" is kind of ignorant, in my opinion.
If he can keep his heart in it, I hope he stays. He looks like he has a pretty good shot, and he's gotten himself in good position quite a bit when he's played. Experience will help him out quite a bit.
