Re: King ralphie won't be happy
CU fans are accustomed to additional "consideration" from the refs, I guess.

I really believe any decent coach with 17 seconds left, no timeouts and within FG range would instruct the QB to either go for the touchdown and win or throw the ball away - even if it resulted in intensional grounding. I think your QB blew the play, a short pass in bounds. Then your receiver tosses the ball away from the ref with 12 seconds and CU fans thinks the refs should make an extra effort to let CU win, WOW.

The ref was able to get the ball placed in time, but did not have enough time to get out of the way, you cannot expect him to place the ball and be ready for the snap right away. That is what they are complaining about, it took too long for the ref to get out of the way. But if you watch the replay, he was running through the ISU def line, and was still in front of the linebackers when the ball was snapped. CU just did not have enough time to pull that play off.

No Ralphie, I'm not at all surprised you came back to refute what the Big 12 had to say and continue to whine like a little kid. Not at all.
We"re welcome to outside views on this board. However, outside views that are just plain wrong and beat a dead horse - well - you'll find we're not the kind Midwestern rednecks people think we are.

Iowa State-Nebraska has played 101 games. ISU is 17-82-2
Colorado-Nebraska has played 65 games. Colorado is 17-46-2

Well, you know.
(Only fanbase I've ever heard of that had the ref stop the game to have them removed)

Re: King ralphie won't be happy
The last epic battle I saw in Boulder was some stoners, i mean STUDENTS, fighting off the munchies.
Ralphie, you are beating a dead buffalo here.....let it go.

Re: King ralphie won't be happy
It's been said before, but, even more obvious when you watch the game again. The refs could have spotted the ball and blew the play live in 1 second after the pass play and it wouldn't have mattered. CU had a lot more than 11 on the field at the time of the snap and only about half of them were set. The one that sticks out most is the end, running in from the sidlines and still in motion when the ball was snapped. It doesn't matter Ralph, no matter how quickly the ball would have been snapped, it's still a penalty on CU for false start, too many people on the field, etc. you name it. It was the play before that cost CU the game, not the refs setting the ball after your receiver didn't get out of bounds.
I know losses hurt, believe me, I think most of us on the board here can give you a list a mile long of losses that left us looking for answers other than what was right in our face. Your team lost, the sooner you deal with that, the more focused you can get on preparing your excuses for the Nebraska game when they come out and probably stick it to you again.
I'd say, of most fans in the Big XII, we're always willing to give a team props when they hand us a loss. We're also pretty easy to discuss issues with regarding a win. But, to come here and completely disregard the facts and spin the story in a direction other than what took place on the field to suit your own agenda will get you no where. As was stated before, it benefited no one in the league but ISU to have us win. If there was a conspiracy about, the kick would have been good.
If you rely on the refs to win you a game at the end, you are going to lose. CU blew a 21 point lead and you are ****** I can understand that. What I don't understand is how you can't see what's right in front of you, the truth.
