    MBB on DirectTV

    I am about to dump Mediacom for DirectTV. Other than the games on the Mediacom Connections channel, does anyone know how many games I'm going to miss? I live in Iowa City and when I called DTV, they told me they have the locals available here.

    Unfortunately, us dish people will miss several of the games since several are on Mediacom this year. Just another reason to go to the bar.

    According to Cyclones.com (Basketball (M) - Schedule - Iowa State University Athletics Official Web Site - www.CYCLONES.com - Iowa State Cyclones Sports), 5 games will be televised on Mediacom. But if you have season tickets, you won't miss one because they are all home games.

    I'm not sure if WOI extends all the way to IC or not? They carry the CTN games in central Iowa.

    I don't know if you'll be able to see much in Iowa City, I don't think they broadcast the locally televised ISU games out there. Could be wrong though.

    If you get the Full court package, you will be able to see pretty much every conference game.

    The Bradley game is on DirecTV. There are only a couple other nonconference games on DirecTV, but nearly all of the conferences games are on there.

    I have DirecTV and CloneZone. Between the two of them, I can see every game that is televised.

    Weren't the mediacom games on Fullcourt last year? I thought they were.

    It did...IIRC, there were about 20 games total on last year through Full Court. Also, a couple of women's games. This year the total is 15. I kept thinking they would add more, but I don't think they have yet.

    Channel 9 will show some CTN games, and if you have an antenna, FOX-Ottumwa showed all the CTN games last year.

    No, they won't. The only games you'll see over the air from those stations would be the Big 12/ESPN+ games.
