Wednesday Night-Bradley Game Predictions?

Based on what I have seen from the clones thus far and the result of Bradley's first game, I think Iowa State has got a great shot at winning tomorrow nights game by double digits (10+) if they can control the tempo, not turnover the ball as much and keep the big 2 from draining 3's. Alot to ask of our guards, but I think with the depth we have on our bench, bradley will be in trouble.

I have absolutely no idea... That is why I am excited to see this. It is like the first football game of the year.

Re: Wednesday Night-Bradley Game Predictions?

they have got a pretty decent backcourt which concerns me some, but we should have our way with them down low.

Re: Wednesday Night-Bradley Game Predictions?

We've been turning the ball over way too many times against inferior teams for me to think we can win on the road against a better than average MVC team (or at least expected to be) right now.

I think their guards will give ours guys plenty of problems.

If we can limit turnovers, Wes is able to play and give us good minutes and we feed the Jiri early and often - then I feel good about our chances.

But right now, I'd take Bradley by 10.

Doesn't sound like Wes will be ready to play this week.

I have no idea, either. We were very unimpressive over the weekend, but Bradley did lose a game. I don't trust our guard play enough to think we will go on the road and win a game right now. We also don't know how healthy Wes really is. This would be a great win if we could get it, but I have my doubts.

Re: Wednesday Night-Bradley Game Predictions?

IMO nothing has a greater effect on the outcome of a game (well, other than talent and coaching) than being on the road in college basketball. Add in the turnovers and inexperience, and what Bradley did to us last year with the same guys back for them... I think we lose.

If we had been at full strength (a completely healthy Wes, Rashon, Jiri, and and an eligible Lucca) in order for the lineup of these guys and Garrett/Peterson/Brackins to play together so far, I would pick us by 10. That hasn't happened, so I would say Bradley by 5.

Without Wes, I think it's too close to call.

I drink the Kool-Aid. Cyclones by <5, akin to last year's Minnesota and Missouri games on the road. Narrow victories against mediocre teams, but wins nonetheless, and on the road to boot.

P.S. I have no practical basis or rationale for my prediction.

I don't know much about Bradley and it's our first road game so I'll take a win any way we can get it.

A little to much hype in the MVC, bradley didnt look like much against Illinois-Chicago(14-18 last year). Hard to give them props after that showing.

Do we know this for sure? Last I heard at Mac's presser after last Saturday's game, he said Wes may be available for the next game, but probably not. So I figured that the Bradley game would be a sure thing.

I heard from Wes this morning and he didn't think he'd be ready to go...

Ames Trib says it's a game time decision.

Re: Wednesday Night-Bradley Game Predictions?

Have you seen our team play? I have 3 times. As BryceC noted, Bradley returns the same guys that beat us last year. I just can't pick us to win this game based on what I've seen so far, the little I know about Bradley and the fact that it's our first road game.

Compound the uncertainty with Wes (now seeing he's doubtful instead of probable) and the fact that Jiri is still not 100% (toss in Clark's knee still being a bit off) - I don't think I'm giving Bradley too much credit by picking them to win.
