Welcome back...Rex Grossman!
ESPN - Grossman back in saddle as Bears' starting QB - NFL
Rex is getting the start Sunday at Seattle and no one knows if it's because of injury to Brian or if he's been benched.

Re: Welcome back...Rex Grossman!
Why can't the Bills be playing the Bears this weekend instead of the Patriots?
What ever happened to truth, justice and the American Way? -
Re: Welcome back...Rex Grossman!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Put in Orton or even Chris Leak!! Just kidding, I hope he proves himself better than the first time around this year.

Re: Welcome back...Rex Grossman!
He played well last weekend. Maybe we will see Good Rex this weekend. Seattle's defense has given up a lot of big plays.

You gotta wonder why Orton doesn't get a shot? When he started he did no worse than Rex? Why Rex is still on the roster amazes me...because he was a first rounder?

Re: Welcome back...Rex Grossman!
He only completed 50% of his passes las tweek. He completed that one long pass, but he does throw a pretty good deep ball.
Chris Leak isn't even on the roster, is he? Is he on the practice squad?

Re: Welcome back...Rex Grossman!
He throws a good deep ball when it goes to a member of his own team. But too often, he fires one to what his teammates would refer to as the bad guys.
Mechanically, Rex is a pretty sound QB. Mentally, he makes far too many mistakes. The big problem, the same mistakes again and again.

I think I'm going to be sick
I'm not so sure Lovie Smith is as smart as everyone claims him to be.

Re: Welcome back...Rex Grossman!
Blegh, not happy to see him at quarterback again. The fact that he fumbled his first snap in just goes to show. At this point, the Bears aren't going to do ANYTHING this season, and lord knows it's pointless for Rex to be re-signed, so why not see if Orton can do anything?
Unfortunately, the season's over for the Bears and us fans, unless of course some miracle happens and Grossman gets a clue, or Orton suddenly goes crazy and becomes an all-star. Not to mention our defense getting healthy...

Someone in the front office will realize that you can't win a Super Bowl without one (even though they did it in 1985) and stop picking up everyone else's scraps and go out and get a REAL QB.

True, his options are limited, but it seems like he jumps back and forth on who he's going to play. I liked when he made the switch to Griese and I think he should stick with it. The Bears have been much better with him running the offense and just because Grossman threw one good pass doesn't erase all the mistakes he's made.

I'd rather have a healthy Rex Grossman than a 75% Brian Griese.

GrossMan is better than Grease who is better than OrkTon. Looks like they need to draft someone. Sam Keller?
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

If that's the case I agree but the article doesn't say whether or not that was the case for the switch. It was not immediately known if coach Lovie Smith made the switch because of the shoulder injury or Griese's recent streak of inconsistent play.
