Did Barry's head get 10 times bigger because of his ego or from the steroids?
I am going to say both!

All of MLB should be tossed out and start all over. Supposedly they cannot test for HGH. Unless they catch the suppliers, the poitchers and others get their millions anyway.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Stephen A. Smith says that race plays a role in how Bonds is getting investigated thoroughly whereas Mark McGwire escaped the public spotlight.

All of MLB should be tossed out and start all over. I agree. Baseball had no policy on steroids. Good chance that the pitchers he faced were on steroids so don't know why people want the asterisk. How many pitchers did Babe Ruth or Hank Aaron face that took steroids?
I'm not a fan of Bonds but this is pretty ridiculous. Technically, if he claims that he didn't knowingly take steroids, it is difficult to prove otherwise. You would have to have documentation that he actually knew that the substances he took were steroids. So taking steroids isn't the crime. He would have had to have known that he took steroids and then lied to Congress. Personally I would rather have Congress look into what Dick Cheney knew before Iraq and put him under oath about his secret energy meetings with oil business leaders. It seems like oil has gone no where but up since those meetings.

It seems like oil has gone no where but up since those meetings. First off, there is no doubt that Barry Bonds has been singled out. It's most likely due to his personality and the media loved to jump on him. There are no doubt MANY, MANY others in various sports not just baseball.
However, I can't argue in his defense over lieing to the FEDS about it.
As far as "secret oil meetings" pushing the price of oil higher which makes no sense and putting a member of the Executive Branch of Goverment under oath, take it to the "Politics" thread.

Re: Bonds To Be Indicted
First, I am not a lawyer, however, it is my understanding that indictment does not equal guilt. An indictment only means that prosecuters have shown a secret grand jury the evidence they have and that the grand jury believes that the evidence warrants a trial. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the Duke lacrosse players were indicted.
Second, it is not a "maybe" that many of the pitchers that Bonds was facing were "juiced"...in fact, if I recall correctly, the guy he hit either 754 or 755 off of had actually been suspended in the past for steroid use.
I happen to know a couple of MLB players (current and past) and they have told me that the use of this stuff is rampant and that the percentage of pitchers using is actually higher than the percentage of hitters using. Don't kid yourself...Roger Clemens' workout includes a little more that push-ups and sit-ups!
Personally, I believe Bonds is being singled out...not because he is black but rather because he has been such a horse's rear to so many people...especially reporters.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -

You know what else got indicted?

Re: Bonds To Be Indicted
Do I think he will be found or plea guilty to something? Yes
Will he spend a day in Jail? Seriously doubt it....
The last big name perjury trial I can remember was when Bill Clinton was found guilty of perjury, and while Barroid is not as high profile as the president I doubt that they will put him in prison.

Re: Bonds To Be Indicted
How about a CyBookie event on if we think Barry will goto jail or be found guilty. Though if he waives his right to a speedy trial, it could take a while to find out.
