    this is what makes this rivalry so great. It goes back a long way and blood was actually spilled. The people of Iowa City and Ames never fought a war against eachother. Hopefully we beat KU but if not KU vs Mizzou is MY game of the year.

    Yeah, KU vs. MU is a brutal rivalry. One of the best (worst?) in the country, IMO.

    Wow...

    Regardless of t-shirts though - what a goldmine they struck by moving the game to KC this year. I mean...who would've predicted this game would mean much more than just a border rivalry?

    I can't wait to watch this one. I see the kick-off time is still TBA though.

    Talk about looking for anything to jump on. I think they're pretty funny. However, I'm more partial to the plain old "shocker" t-shirt? No politics, no in depth thinking, no knowledge required; just one plain, way-over-the-top graphic. Might help out those of the fans from Missour-ah.

    Have you ever been to the bar district with an ISU shirt on in Iowa City when it wasnt game day, believe me there has been blood spilled, plus we fight over the state nickname.

    that is freaking hilarious. I love the use of "scoreboard." So final and absolute. Very interesting with the historic reference of the rivalry... This is a little bigger than Springfield U. and Homer stealing Springfield A&M's pig... historically, very serious national issues are imbedded in the origins of the rivalry... and we just hate Iowa b/c they are elitist, arrogant snobs.

    The Iowa vs ISU rivalry has a similar past though. We sent two 'Cyclones' last summer to Iowa City in an attempt to destroy the city.
