Sorry Blythe, you were just too good of a decoy
so isu wasnt able to throw the ball to you. Once again he could of easily had 150 yrds and atleast 2 tds, he was getting open all day. Just didnt throw to him or if they did the passes were way off like they have been the last 4 yrs.

Re: Sorry Blythe, you were just too good of a decoy
A lot of times he looks open because the ball is already thrown and many of the DBs are pursuing the intended WR

Re: Sorry Blythe, you were just too good of a decoy
If i remember correctly there were 2 or 3 deep balls thrown to him, one he got held, and the other two he was open but it was overthrown...So he was getting open.
My favorite play of the day was when marquis put that triple move on Talib an all big 12 db.

Re: Sorry Blythe, you were just too good of a decoy
Yeah, if we would've like...you know...thrown it to Blythe on every play...we'd be undefeated and have national titles already. Blythe would be the Heisman forever, like, 'cuz he's the most awesome.
Defenses would never pick up on us throwing it to him every play. They'd just let us do it!
Blythe is a God and all the other players on our team suck. We should cut all of them and demand the NCAA give him 2659 more years of eligibility.
We rule.

We rule. Isn't Blythe also responsible for saving Morrill Hall and for stopping VEISHEA from being cancelled?

The only good thing about the season being over is we don't have to hear, "why aren't they throwing the ball to Blythe", after every game.

Bill Brasky punched God in the kidneys and out flew Todd Blythe, fully grown and with a football between his vise like hands.
To Bill Brasky!!

We all know that Blythe's problems are totally due to the uniform colors. I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone. -

Well in my ncaa 2007 game, blythe is averaging 300+ yards per game and like 5 touchdowns, so he must be that good in real life.

Re: Sorry Blythe, you were just too good of a decoy
Wow, you anti Blythe guys need to take a breath. I went to home and away games this season, and he WAS open and missed a lot. I watched the game on the tube yesterday, and noticed in a replay from behind the QB an open Blythe. The problem was, when he broke open the ball should have already been in the air. I don't understand all this negative stuff about him. If its a personal issue thats one thing, but the guy would have played for any team. His numbers speak for themselves and he's been a super player for Iowa State. Nice time to kick him around after his last game in an Iowa State uniform. Something that would make a diehard Hawkeye fan proud.

Actually, I took all of the previous comments as jabs at every fan that yells "Throw it to Blythe!" on every play. It gets really annoying really fast.

Maybe that's the spirt they were given in. And Iowa State had other receivers as well, no question about it. It's time to move on and look to next season instead of taking personal shots at players who are done. The intent may be jabs at fans, but they certainly look like shots at Blythe. Those have no class in my book.
