    Hilton Last night

    3 things.

    1. We have to get back to the point where teams don't come in and punk us on our on floor. I tired of that.

    2. I have watched a lot of basketball lately and have been looking at different arenas. Once Hilton has those suites installed and the practice facitities in place, I think we will have one of the finest places for basketball in the country. The scoreboards, new seats, new court all look so much better than the old hilton (I know some of you hate the advertising, but that is life now.)
Just take a look around the big 12 and Big10 and some of the arena's look so bad in comparison. I just can't get over how big that scoreboard is at Hilton.
Now the only thing that would make it better is actually winning and stop ******* around losing to Missouri Valley teams etc..

    3. Since we have now lost to Bradley and Minnesota, I think we now have to sweep the in state games and beat Purdue if we want to do anything post season. Doesn't actually sound to bad since UNI and Iowa are both at home and Purdue is Neutral, but I thought we would have no issues with Minny also. I do think Wesley in the lineup makes us 4-0. He rebounds, blocks shots and gets points. That is a lot of our problems right now.
Make sure you don't call the charge. But make sure you call the foul on the scrum....

I agree with a lot of what you said, but how about we just worry about UNI for now. This team can't afford to look ahead.

The thing I noticed the most last night was the energy the students bring. This was one of those games we really needed them to help get the crowd into it. I know it was not part of their season ticket but they need to do a better job of scheduling these kind of games when the students are here.

Oh so true, had the students been there, Minny would not have stood a chance. I really like the Pioneer ads on the court. I needed a new sound system!

Agreed. He's the difference maker for this team right now...

The crowd was dead all night except for about 3 minutes. It hurt not having the students here.

I was disappointed with the attendance last night. Big 10 team. Tubby Smith. Boarder State. Deflected recruit. And we probably didn't have more than 10,000 actual butts in the seats.

    Re: Hilton Last night

I told my buddy at the game we are probably 10 points better with the students there and the other team is about 10 points worse. That pretty much puts us winning by 10 which isn't too far off in my opinion. They bring organized chants and loudness that you can't imagine. It was just kind of dead in there last night. I couldn't imagine how loud it would have been when brackins had a few of those dunks.

Is your sound system made out of corn?

That is why having Pioneer on our court doesn't look as hickish as you think. Most people think its electronics. Too Funny.

You mean we do not have a Japanese affiliation with Pioneer?

I would say no for now. Pollard could have them in his back pocket though:)

    Re: Hilton Last night

Speaking of corn (off subject here) the History Channel had the history of corn on the other night. Well you guessed it, lots of ISU profs interviewed and a few shots taken in the agronomy areas of ISU campus. Pioneer also got some spots in as well. What would the history of corn be without talking with people from the state that grows the most right?

While I agree the students are good and we shouldn't have played a team like Minnesota without them we don't win that game even with the students there.

I tivoed the show for my father-in-law so if anyone needs help falling asleep they can come over and watch it (okay, so I haven't watched it but I can only imagine how engaging it is).
