Re: Great Meltdown
Hey, we're one year removed from Wayne Morgan and the mass exodus, not to mention the many player losses before the start of the this season. If you expect a great season, you don't know anything about basketball. I do however think that Garrett should be starting. Throw him into the fire, because Peterson cannot handle pressure . He kept backing himself into traps. There is a giant range of talent on this team from Brackins/Clark/Johnson on down to well...

I know that football is a little different because we had an entirely new staff, but you have to remember we have a lot of new guys for bball as well. It's going to take a little time for them to get going. I have all the faith in the world in GM.
Go Cyclones! i felt a lot better than football than basketball even before the wins at the end. Definitely upside for next year. Last season I did not feel that way for basketball and it is certainly PAINFUL to watch again this year. I mean we don't even attack the basket. And dribbling in to traps???? ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr.

Re: Great Meltdown
k-State Turned it around in 1 year. This is basketball...not Football. We should atleast look a little better....show some improvement. Huluska didn't even start for Idian Hlls...now he's in our roatation...come on!

Its a good thing he bolted because he could have made KSU a very good program.

Amen. Seriously, give the man an A-MEN!
I posted this in another thread, nearly every time we lose - basically the same group of people has a complete meltdown. Just like clockwork. Kinda sad.

Re: Great Meltdown
Freshmen looking bad and making mistakes doesn't bother me too much.
But I'll tell you what does concern me...Hubalek is a senior, and Thompson is a junior. Both these guys are upperclassmen, and are in their second year under GMac (granted AT had to sit out a year, but he was still part of the program). These two guys are not playing well, and that does not bode well for Big 12 play. Brackins can't handle the entire frontcourt by himself, and Lucca / Wes aren't going to prevent how Minnesota ran over ISU in the paint last night.
I've been watching Big 8/Big 12 MBB for many years, and it's usually the case that teams who can't muster decent post play don't do well. That's not melting down, that's just the way it is...

Re: Great Meltdown
He was giving an example of how Huggy was a great recruiter, in response to my response that he was a great recruiter, in response to someone complaining that K-State turned things around in one year and we haven't.

Re: Great Meltdown
It looks like KState will be in the mix for a long time - Frank is recruiting KSU just as well as Bobby in WV and just as well as us. You caught me before I was finished adding all the info. Sorry. Hard to edit the recruits.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.
