I was in the student section wondering what was going on too. It was fun chanting at the UNLV players after a clear loss for them!! After they see a replay of this game they are going to feel like idiots. Good for them!
*Time to get trashed and forget this bad preformance!!
It was a poor show of sportsmanship by UNLV and the coach is going to look back on it after seeing the replays that he made a complete *** of himself and his team by going bonkers like he did. Thankfully we do not have to play at UNLV next year and if we did I would hope the Pollard would have pulled out of that game after what happened tonight. You would NEVER see a Dan McCarney team put on such a poor display of sportsmanship after the game like UNLV did. My tickets are on the west side of the stadium and you could see players yelling at some of the fans who were yelling at them to get off the field plus the players slamming helmets down on the Cy logo was just classless. Hopefully they get some kind of informal reprimand for that from their school or conference.
We nearly gave that game away. We should have won it easily as poorly as UNLV played.
I had goal-line seats in the student section, and the game would've ended on that play anyway. The player was clearly out of the end-zone, and even if there was a pushing penalty for pushing the player out of bounds, the BALL was a few yards past the end-zone. There was no way the ball was going to be caught. And the clock read zero before the ball was even thrown.
Poor coaches and players are going to feel like jackasses when they see the tape.
UNLV showed zero class. The players turned around and taunted fans behind them. A group of players went to the 50 yard line and jumped up and down. Any respect I had for them playing so tough in this game went down the drain.
