George Mason 87 vs. Kansas State 77
Beasley with 30 points and 10 rebounds.
Did anyone see parts of this game? Just wondering how K-State lost this game.
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone. -

I love George Mason. I have since their mighty run.

If I remember correctly, Beasley only had 6 at half. Sounded like GM controlled the game.

Is Beazley their only player? Good grief.

The only reason anyone thinks they will be good, and the only reason they are ranked right now is because of him. Bill Walker is supposed to be good as well, but I believe he is battling injuries?

KSU played a very undisiplined game. Bill Walker took a lot of contested 3 point shots and missed most of them.

K-State played aggressive, but not smart defense. They over played the passing lanes and jumped on ball fakes all the time. Also, they had poor rotation on their defense. GM had more than a few good looks from 3 after good ball movement. It seemed like 2 or 3 K-State players were playing tough defense, only to have the other 2 or 3 play lazy defense (usually the post players).
Offensively I saw a lot of poor ball movement. They simply relied on the fact that they were more athletic than GM. A lot of one on one stuff. They also shot the ball very poorly from 3 point land. Something like 2-16.
I know it's early in the year, but this K-State teams looks less fundamentally sound than last year's when Huggy was coaching.

Good to hear. Nothing better than a team that has some talent and squanders it by lacking discipline. Just a waste.

Re: George Mason 87 vs. Kansas State 77
They didn't look disciplined at all. Whether that's just because they are young or a product of their coach, I don't know. What I do know is he looks like a greasy a-hole. Very easy to dislike him.
Walker didn't play very well last night and Beasley had some foul problems but obviously came on in the 2nd half. I think K-State is really missing Hoskins. Even though he's probably only the 4th or so most talented player he's definitely the prototypical "glue guy." Word is he might be out for the season so that would really hurt them.
Regardless they shouldn't be ranked right now until they can figure some things out.

Look at small the Basketball looks in his hands. I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone. -

I watched some of the game and my impression was that they were playing street ball with no discipline which means they were poorly coached. That is what happens when you hire a coach to save a recruiting class.
KState is athletic and they have a lot of talent, but this coach will get out coached in a lot of games this year.
