Some of the problem is jailtime.
Les still has a bowl game. Michigan wants someone sooner than January. They have said that publicly. Maybe Les will leave his team to join Michigan, he did that before didn't he? For the conspiracy theorists out there, did Kirk intentionally lose the last game so he didn't have a bowl to worry about and could campaign for that Michigan job full time?
I really don't like watching Les Miles coach this year. He's made some really iffy calls that have fortunately turned out in his favor. Just one or two of those go the wrong way, and we're looking at a 4 or 5 loss LSU team, and it's that way largely because of questionable coaching calls on gameday.
That being said, I still think Michigan would take him over Ferentz.
Hey baby, get in my big red car while I drive my Captain Kirk Enterprise to Ann Harbor:
1. Les Miles
I wouldn't say that. I've talked to plenty of hoks that are fed up with Ferentz and his staff. He really is embarassing the university with the way his players are acting off the field. Winning games is only part of the job, a big part of the job, but you have to mold these young men into better people too. Looks like Kirk forgot that part. Ol' raisin face must not have taught that one to him.
Ok....if Ferentz were to leave Iowa, who would they hire?
nah. but you would think that Michigan would rather having a winning coach in Les Miles than a losing coach in Kirk Ferentz.
Assuming mulligans were given, there should no doubt be changes after this year. There won't be.
If you look closely at the Hayden Fry coaching tree, they all seem to have problems firing poor assistants. Apparently, that is what happens when you preach the "Good Ol' Boy" philosophy.
Frankly, based upon the Suckeye AD's (Barta) hire for the Alfraud replacement the KF replacement would be be a weak dick at best. All there problems start at the top........look at Lincoln right now if you don't have a clue. The Fusker's fired their AD over the mess he created.
I thought that if KF were to leave, somehow, that Iowa would try hard to get Pelini.
