Re: VB gets at-large!
Kinda weird that Northern Iowa is paired up in the bracket right next to us. Would be weird to see UNI knock off Wisconsin to set up a second round matchup with the Cyclones!

Re: VB gets at-large!
Rock on, ladies! C. Johnson has led ISU to back-to-back tourney appearances now, a really nice accomplishment for the young coach and budding program. Getting by Wisco in the 2nd round won't be easy considering this is in Madison and they draw crowds over 10k (for any U of I readers on here, k means "1000"). I wouldn't be surprised if UNI gives the Badgers a tussle in the first round however.
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. This is a great accomplishment by coach Johnson. I golfed with her at a Cyclone outing a couple of years ago and she is a class act all the way!!!!!

Re: VB gets at-large!
This program is going nowhere but up in the future with Christy as coach. Her coaching lineage includes John Cook @ Neb. and Pete Waite at Wisco... plus her recruiting ties in both Neb. and Wisco (v-ball hotbeds) are huge (as shown by this years recruiting class). Perhaps someday Cyclone Nation will start to embrace the v-ball program like the women's b-ball team... I think it's already starting to happen (albeit slowly) considering ISU's v-ball attendance was in the top half of the Big 12 this season.

I didn't mean to insinuate that there is no v-ball talent in Iowa. UNI historically has been the best D-I program in the state and taken its share of Iowans, and yes many have gone to neighboring state powerhouse programs. One of my girlfriends' teammates at Wisco on their 2000 Final 4 team played at Dubuque Wahlert. All I know is a lot of UW's and kNU's rosters have a lot of home-grown talent on them. I'm sure Christy will scour Iowa for the best talent and get them to Ames instead of Lincoln of Madison.

This is the best ISU news I have heard in a while. That is awesome!
